Every Liverpool fan's morning routine will be the exact same at the moment: wake up and check for any news on Philippe Coutinho's future.

Doubt continues to surround the Brazilian's future at Anfield amidst strong interest from Barcelona, who have £198 million to play with following the sale of Neymar.

Barca are reportedly prepared to spend up to £120 million on Coutinho and recently had a £90 million bid rejected by Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has remained firm in his stance that Coutinho will not be leaving this summer, even going as far to say the attacking midfielder is 'priceless'.

He said earlier this week: "Liverpool is not a club that has to sell players. That is set in stone. So what they pay in the end doesn't matter.

"From a financial standpoint, there is no price limit to let him go. No price at which we are ready to give in.

"Our goal is to have the best possible team. So we want to keep our guys and add new ones. That is our plan."

Liverpool fans have grown frustrated with Klopp for his lack of transfer activity this summer, but there's no faulting him where the Coutinho saga is concerned.

Coutinho has even told his manager that he wants to leave for Barcelona, albeit not forcefully, but Klopp isn't having any of it.

Barcelona are not prepared to give up, though, which has prompted Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group, to make an official statement on Coutinho's future.

And it's nothing but good news for the club, with FSG insisting that the Brazil international will not be sold this summer for any price, despite his wishes.

"We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho," it reads.

"The club's definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes."

Liverpool fans have a strained relationship with John W. Henry and FSG, but for once they'll be absolutely delighted with the action they've taken.

Club owners rarely speak out on transfer sagas, which makes FSG's message to Barcelona all the more powerful.
