Millwall's injury problems are continuing to ease ahead of the visit of Wycombe.

Darren Ward returned as a substitute during last weekend's 2-2 draw at Brentford following six weeks out with a knee injury and could start at the back.

Fellow defender Andy Frampton is also pushing for a recall having recovered from the ankle injury he suffered last month.

Centre-back Zak Whitbread is closing in on a return after hip surgery and could be back next month along with midfielder Ali Fuseini, who is recovering from a knee ligament injury.

Striker Gary Alexander is still on the sidelines with a heel problem so Jason Price or Steve Morison will partner top scorer Neil Harris.

Scott Barron (ankle) and Pat O'Connor (knee) are still missing.

Gareth Ainsworth should go straight into the Wycombe squad.

The veteran QPR midfielder has linked up with his old Loftus Road boss Gary Waddock on a month's loan.

Defender Lewis Hunt was unavailable for the midweek FA Cup defeat at Brighton due to illness and he is rated as 50/50 this time around.

Striker John Akinde is struggling with an ankle injury and will also be checked over.

Forward Stuart Beavon made his return from a groin injury as a substitute at the Withdean and is available once again but Leon Johnson (groin) continues to miss out.

Left-back Craig Woodman should retain the captain's armband after Michael Duberry was axed following the recent 6-0 defeat at Huddersfield.
