WWE fans should be getting ready for one Superstar to return to action.

Darren Young suffered an injury in a match against Epico at the WWE Main Event tapings in Little Rock, Arkansas that took place prior to Raw back in January. Young took a nasty fall off the apron during his match with Epico, and he immediately grabbed his arm.

GIVEMESPORT will broadcast live coverage of the US PGA Championship on Facebook. Day 2 coverage starts Friday 11 August, 18:00-00:15 HERE.

The belief at the time is that Young popped his shoulder or his elbow. The match was stopped immediately after the ref and doctor at ringside realized that Young was legitimately hurt. Young was favoring his arm as he walked to the backstage area with Bob Backlund.

The WWE Superstar ended up suffering an elbow injury and had to undergo surgery earlier this year in Birmingham, Alabama.

The 33-year-old signed with WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling in 2009 and participated in the first season of NXT in 2010 under his current ring name.

Fast forward to later that year, he debuted on the main roster as part of The Nexus. This led to Young subsequently forming The Prime Time Players with Titus O'Neil, with whom he is a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion.

After being lost on the main roster and used as a jobber, WWE finally decided to do something with him in 2016. They put him together with WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund, who was his manager and life coach.

WWE began airing these backstage segments with the two and Backlund was pushing Young through whatever activity that he was doing at the time.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Young has been cleared by doctors to return to in-ring action. He had his evaluation this week and passed.

It will be interesting to see what WWE does with Young once he is back in action and on television. What’s going to be something to keep an eye on is the usage of his manager.

Backlund has not been used on television since Young went down with his injury. It would make sense for WWE to use the WWE Hall of Famer as he is still under contract with the company. Time will tell what is in store for Young.
