One WWE Superstar is having a hard time.

That Superstar is former Raw Women’s Champion Bayley, who was supposed to challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event. However, those plans had to be nixed to Bayley being injury in a singles match against Nia Jax. She suffered a shoulder injury that has forced her out of her Raw Women’s Championship match.

As seen on this week’s episode of Raw, there were two triple threat matches that took place on the show. Nia Jax defeated Mickie James and Dana Brooke while Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox and Emma. Now, Jax and Banks will wrestle each other next week’s episode of Raw in Boston, MA at the TD Garden to determine who will wrestle Bliss at SummerSlam.

Also on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, the company had her do an in-ring segment to discuss her injury during an in-ring interview. The crowd did not take this segment very well as they were obviously booing during her promo. WWE uploaded the clip to their YouTube channel, and it’s pretty clear that they cut out the part of her interview where she addressed the boos from the fans as she was clearly frustrated at their reaction.

The segment was so bad that WWE had Raw commentator Corey Grave stated during the promo that they were in “bizarro world.” For those who may not know, this reference was cut out in the edited clip on YouTube. The “bizarro world” comment is something that’s said by announcers whenever a crowd doesn’t give the desired reaction, and it’s something that Vince McMahon has been telling announcers to say for over a decade.

Bayley and WWE officials have received an update on her recovery from the injury. Unfortunately, the news is not positive. Although the timetable for her return to in-ring action is unknown at this time, there is some concern within WWE that she may not be back until November at the earliest and possibly not until next year’s WrestleMania.

The former Raw Women’s Champion is expected to undergo further diagnostic testing this week. Either way, things do not look good for her or her fans for the immediate future.
