We're now only weeks away from one of the biggest fights of the past decade taking place, the super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

As we edge closer and closer to the date of the fight of August 26, both Mayweather and McGregor have been increasing the intensity of their training camp in order to give themselves the best opportunity possible of coming out of this historic fight victorious.

The Notorious' training camp has been in the news this week after Paulie Malignaggi pulled out as his sparring partner at the UFC’s Performance Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. A picture emerged of him on the canvas as it looked like he had been knocked down by the Irishman, but he claims he was pushed and he’s being set-up.

Money was asked to comment on this story during his media day at his training base this week. The undefeated boxer instead gave high praise for the former welterweight champion. Watch the video further down of Mayweather responding to the question about McGregor and Malignaggi.

Mayweather said according to Boxing News and Views: “It’s not my thing to get in the middle of their back and forth. Paulie is a friend of mine. I respect him as a fighter. He’s one of the best commentators out there because he has knowledge of the game. A lot of time we have commentators at fight shows who never fought a day in their life.”

Of course Mayweather is going to say something like this, as he doesn't want the media to believe that McGregor can actually knock him out and win when the two come to meet inside the squared circle just a matter of weeks.

Many believe the UFC fighter should have kept hold of the two-time world champion in his camp as he would have provided some much-needed boxing perspective ahead of arguably one of the biggest fights he'll ever have in either boxing or MMA.

Either way, Mayweather vs McGregor is going to be a really entertaining fight, and we won't know for sure if Malignaggi was ever knocked down by the Irish fighter until unedited footage of the incident is released.
