Millers leave it late

Rotherham claimed their third successive away win as late goals from Kevin Ellison and Adam Le Fondre sealed a 2-0 victory and ended Torquay's seven-match unbeaten league run.

Ellison pounced from close range in the 85th minute after home keeper Michael Poke had made a stop from Le Fondre's header.

And Le Fondre then sealed the win when he clipped the ball over Poke in stoppage time - with Torquay committed to attack - for his 12th goal of the season.

The hosts started well and striker Elliot Benyon tried his luck from range with a 25-yard effort that skipped along the wet surface and was gathered at the foot of his post by diving Millers keeper Andy Warrington.

Gulls keeper Michael Poke made a brilliant double stop to deny Le Fondre and then substitute Stephen Brogan after spilling Nicky Law's corner from the left at the start of the second half.

Warrington then made his own spectacular diving double save to twice deny substitute Jake Thomson after 66 minutes.

First the keeper palmed away Thomson's shot from Chris Zebroski's cut back from the left and then flapped Thomson's header around the post from Wroe's cross from the right.
