Dagenham & Redbridge have signed Darren Currie on a month-long loan from League Two rivals Chesterfield.

Currie joined the Spireites in the summer of 2008 but has fallen out of favour at Saltergate and has linked up with John Still's high-flyers.

The two sides have an agreement in place for Currie to pen an 18-month contract during the transfer window in January and the winger goes straight into the squad to face Bournemouth on Tuesday.
