Laws keen to avoid relegation scrap

Published Add your comment

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws admits his side have slipped too close to the relegation zone for comfort in recent weeks.

The Owls are in 17th place following their goalless draw at Ipswich over the weekend, on 18 points with three other teams in a bunched-up Championship table, but only three above third-bottom Plymouth.

"We've got to build on this. Points away from home are important," said Laws.

"In our last two home games we've been outstanding and lost them both, so we've got to get back on track so we can move up the table.

"I don't want to be down anywhere near the bottom end, let me tell you, and neither do the players."
