Chelsea were subjected to humiliation on Saturday afternoon following their 3-2 defeat against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues, who lost Gary Cahill to a 14th-minute red card, were losing 3-0 at half-time and eventually went down to nine men when Cesc Fabregas was also dismissed.

Goals from Alvaro Morata and David Luiz threatened an unlikely comeback but when the latter struck in the 88th minute, it was too little too late.

The result saw Chelsea slammed on social media and it would appear even wantaway striker Diego Costa enjoyed seeing his team lose.

In reaction to his club being 3-0 down at half-time, the Spaniard said: "It's going well for Chelsea, isn't it?

"The red card changed the game but anyway, you've come a long way and I have nothing to hide. Come on in."

Costa's Chelsea career is over and it seems like only a matter of time before he completes a move away, most likely to his former employers, Atletico Madrid.

It was a text message from Antonio Conte in June that informed Costa of his future, with the Chelsea manager saying he wasn't in his plans.

Costa has finally reacted to Conte telling him he was no longer wanted over text and, simply put, he's absolutely destroyed the Italian.

In a brutally honest interview with the Daily Mail, Costa slammed Conte for his mentality and poor man-management skills.

"His ideas are very fixed and clear," Costa began. "I have seen the sort of person he is. He has his own opinion and that will not change.

"I respect him as a great coach. He has done a good job and I can see that, but as a person, no. He is not a coach who is very close with his players. He is very distant. He doesn't possess charisma.

"There are ways of going about it. You don't do it by text message. You should be honest and direct to someone's face.

"Conte has his mentality. He thinks it's the best way of working. He arrived from an Italian league where everyone is very serious and arrived in a dressing room where there are maybe more jokes."

Costa is clearly still angry with Conte for informing him of his Chelsea future over text, rather than doing it face-to-face.

And who can blame him? In his three years at the club, Costa has won two Premier League titles and scored over 60 goals in all competitions - he deserved better.
