Diego Costa has swiftly fallen out of favour at Chelsea over recent months.Despite scoring more than 60 goals for the Blues and playing a pivotal role in their Premier League triumph last season, the Spanish striker has been banished to train with the reserves by manager Antonio Conte.Needless to say, the idea hasn’t gone down well with the hot-tempered target man.Following Chelsea’s open day defeat to Burnley, Costa slammed his manager for his poor mentality and poor man-management skills in a brutally honest interview with the Daily Mail.“His ideas are very fixed and clear,” Costa began. “I have seen the sort of person he is. He has his own opinion and that will not change.“I respect him as a great coach. He has done a good job and I can see that, but as a person, no. He is not a coach who is very close with his players. He is very distant. He doesn’t possess charisma.“Conte has his mentality. He thinks it’s the best way of working. He arrived from an Italian league where everyone is very serious and arrived in a dressing room where there are maybe more jokes.”Costa is clearly angry with Conte for informing him of his non-existent Chelsea future by text. Three years at the club have come to an abrupt end. Now, in a battle of ‘who has the last word’ it seems Conte has hit back by attacking Costa where it hurts - his pockets.According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Costa has been hit with a two-week fine for not returning to preseason training last month.

Boasting a £150,000 per-week wage packet, that means Chelsea’s forward has been fined a whopping £300,000.

If only we could see his reaction now.
