If there is one thing that Thierry Henry can confidently say he is an expert in, it's goals.

The Frenchman scored 411 goals during his illustrious career and became a bonafide legend during his time with Arsenal.

One could even make the case that the now-Sky Sports pundit is the best striker the Premier League has ever seen (although Alan Shearer's 260 goals would dispute that).

Now, Arsenal have another talented French striker on their books - well, they already had Olivier Giroud - in the shape of £54 million man, Alexandre Lacazette.

The former Lyon man 37 goals in 45 games last season and got his Arsenal career off to a flyer too by finding the net on the opening day against Leicester.

However, Henry believes Arsenal need a subtle change in style if theu are to get the best out of the 26-year-old.

The club’s all-time leading goalscorer told Sky Sports: "Granit Xhaka has it in his locker to play that ball over the top.

"He has an amazing left foot. If he has time on the ball he does not need to play through the middle sometimes.

"Why do you want to play what I call 'the Arsenal ball' to the winger who comes in the pocket? Why don't you play the other ball?

“That's the best ball in the game because you go straight to goal. They don't like it.

"Does he lose the ball? No, he doesn't lose the ball. Does it look pretty? Yes, it looks pretty. But we want to go to goal.

"That's where we want to go. Can he play that pass? It is not difficult for Xhaka. They are going to have to learn with Lacazette."

Henry probably isn't the only one who would prefer Arsenal to operate a slightly more direct style, especially with the pace that Lacazette has to offer.

However, what are the chances of Arsene Wenger changing his ways at this point? If he has trusted his philosophy this long, two more years seems like a given.
