One WWE Superstar has provided an injury update.

Former Raw Women’s Champion Bayley was recently injured and it happened at the worst possible time. She competed in a singles match against Nia Jax on Raw earlier this month. It was a stiff match, to say the least, and as a result of that style, Bayley was injured during the match.
Bayley, who originally set to challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Title at the upcoming Summerslam PPV (pay-per-view) event later this month in Brooklyn, New York on the WWE Network, suffered a right shoulder injury.

As a result of that injury, she was pulled from the match. She suffered a separated shoulder. It was reported over the weekend that Bayley and WWE officials had received an update on her recovery from the injury. However, the news is not positive.

Although the timetable for her return to in-ring action is unknown at this time, there is some concern within WWE that she may not be back until November at the earliest and possibly not until next year’s WrestleMania. The former Raw Women’s Champion was expected to undergo further diagnostic testing this week.

PWInsider.com caught up with Bayley on Tuesday the following WWE's Be A STAR rally in the Bronx, NY for an interview. Here is what she had to say about her injury:

"I just started physical therapy," said Bayley. "So, for right now, I've never had an injury before that's kept me out before, so I'm kind of taking it day to day. I'm not really sure how long [she will be out of action]...it it's a couple of months or if it's a few months of what's it going to be right now. But, it's separated, it's a grade-two separation. It's like the AC joint and the ligaments and all that stuff, so it's not easy."

"Just within the past couple of weeks, I think it's been two weeks now, I've actually been able to move it a little bit, and the swelling has gone down a lot. So, the motion is coming back a little bit more, but it's more about getting the strength and being able to lift my arm in front of me. Like I can't do my own hair, and it's really hard to do certain things, but I'm just trying to get back as soon as possible, but at a safe pace as well."
