It has been a transfer window of financial madness from Manchester City so far, with the Citizens completing five high-profile signings.
Ederson Morales, Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo have all arrived in the north of England so far, taking Pep Guardiola's spending to over £200m.
Defensively, City were in desperate need of reinforcements, with many labelling the department as the reason why the club failed to challenge for the Premier League title last season.

The likes of John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi, Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta were not up to the required standard, with the latter two actually being offloaded this summer.
Guardiola appears to have implemented a new 3-4-2-1 system for the coming season and is no doubt looking for new centre-backs in order for his to maintain his rotation policy.
Given City's financial power, they could go for pretty much anyone, but one man they're linked with will come as a major shock.
According to Sky Sports' Jim White, West Brom's Jonny Evans is currently on the club's radar after excelling last season with the Baggies.
On the face of it, the move appears odd, however, given that Evans is great on the ball, would come cheap and would fill City's homegrown quota, it would perhaps be some sensible business.
Guardiola clearly knows his weakest department, but, he is aware of the enormous talent he possesses further up the pitch,
“Our midfield positions are ‘pwhoar!’ Really good," the boss said, per The Sun.
“We have Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan is coming back, with Kevin De Bruyne, with David Silva, with Raheem Sterling, who can play in that position.
“All of them are going to play. Last season I rotated the team a lot and I will do that again."
Many have labelled City as title favourites and with their newly forged squad, who would bet against them?
