A spoiler on the main event of SummerSlam may have been leaked.

We are in full swing for this weekend’s SummerSlam event. WWE will be holding NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III on Saturday, SummerSlam on Sunday, Raw on Monday and SmackDown Live on Tuesday in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center.

SummerSlam and NXT Takeover will air on the WWE Network while the two television shows will air on the USA Network. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe in a Universal Championship Fatal 4-Way Match will headline this event.

It has been made public by the company that Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman mentioned on Raw a few weeks ago that if Lesnar loses the title at SummerSlam, then he would leave the sports entertainment company and go back to the UFC. As to why they would have Heyman say this, it’s is due to it creating intrigue for the Fatal 4-Way match at Summerslam and to capitalize off the Jon Jones vs. Lesnar speculation. The belief among those within in the company is that Lesnar is expected to retain the Universal Title and continue to defend it.

The official Twitter account for the Barclays Center may have possibly spoiled the main event at SummerSlam. On Wednesday afternoon, the arena tweeted out an announcement that Lesnar will be live in person on Monday Night Raw next week. Thus, this means that Lesnar will retain the title at SummerSlam.

It has been reported that the company was going to great lengths to make sure nobody except Lesnar knew the planned finish to the match ahead of time. That includes Reigns, Joe, Strowman and creative writers.

It was also recently announced that SummerSlam weekend would be returning to New York in 2018 for the fourth year in a row. WWE is advertising Reigns vs. Strowman in a Street Fight as well as a match with free agent John Cena for next Monday’s post-SummerSlam edition of Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. SmackDown will take place from the same arena the next night and advertised locally for that show is Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and WWE United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.

SummerSlam is set to take place on August 20th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card.
