Even Fellow WWE Superstars are commenting Baron Corbin’s failed MITB cash in.

That Superstar is former WWE Champion Seth Rollins, who is scheduled to team up with former Shield brother Dean Ambrose to challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam.

It has been well documented that WWE booked another first-ever match involving former WWE Champion John Cena as he wrestled WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in the main event of this week's episode of SmackDown Live.

Cena picked up the win over Mahal as the finish called for Corbin to interfere and attack the former WWE Champion. Cena picked up the disqualification victory as a result of the attack.

If you recall, Corbin won the Money in the Bank Ladder match a few months ago at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. He attempted to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on Mahal after. However, Corbin’s attempt was a failure as he lost to Mahal in just six seconds due to a distraction from Cena.

WWE set up a match between Cena and Corbin for SummerSlam a few weeks ago on SummerSlam when he tried to attack Cena. This led to a brawl between the two Superstars with Cena ending the show with an AA to Mr. Money in the Bank through the announce table. That angle was booked by WWE officials to set up a match between Cena and Corbin for SummerSlam.

Rollins, who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 during the WWE Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, was at ESPN for the day to promote SummerSlam. As seen below, ESPN had their cameras on Rollins as they broke the news about Corbin’s failed attempt. His reaction pretty much says it all.

SummerSlam is set to take place on August 20th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe in a Universal Championship Fatal 4-Way Match will headline this event.
