The combat sports world is just two weeks away from the biggest fight in history.

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is set to make his professional boxing debut against undefeated 49-0 legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 12 round bout at 154 pounds wearing 8 ounce gloves. Not many people are giving the Irishman much chance in the fight given that he has never fought in a professional boxing bout before, however, others believe that his unorthodox approach from the mixed martial arts (MMA) world could stifle Mayweather and prove to be difficult for him once they get inside the squared circle.

McGregor has been deep in preparations for what is unquestionably the biggest fight in his career, as he brought in ex-boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi to serve as a sparring partner for him. Unfortunately some unfavorable photos and videos of Malignaggi leaked of him sparring the Irishman, prompting him to depart from the camp.

There has been a ton of bad blood between Malignaggi and Team McGregor since, and he recently took to The MMA Hour to go off on the UFC champ's camp, taking aim at UFC President Dana White as well (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“That fat f*ck Dana White,” Malignaggi said. “The Pillsbury Doughboy. You put a white hat on him and give him a white shirt, he looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy. I just want to punch him in his belly button, so he can go ‘hoo hoo hoo,’ like that little laugh from the Pillsbury Doughboy, you know?”

“I never liked the guy," Malignaggi said. “I don’t think he treats the fighters fairly. I don’t think he treats the UFC fighters fairly. There’s no Ali Act in MMA because of him mainly, first and foremost. He’s one of the guys trying to prevent it from happening."

White got the opportunity to respond to Malignaggi's comments in an interview later on that day, claiming that he got beat down pretty bad during his sparring sessions with "The Notorious One":

“Paulie has said some crazy things, some bad things about me,” White said.” I felt sorry for the guy. It was a one-way beating. And a lot of people are saying Conor couldn’t box. Paulie was obviously lying about everything he said about the sparring match, so I released it.

“It was very one-sided, it was an absolute beating. And guess what? I think it was the right thing for Paulie Malignaggi to definitely leave — for his health’s sake.”
