Wednesday evening plunged Barcelona further into a pit of chaos after they were torn to shreds by Real Madrid for the second time in the space of four days.

The Blaugrana were convincingly outplayed in both Madrid and Catalonia, losing 5-1 on aggregate to their bitter rivals.

Ernesto Valverde's Neymar-less side looked derived of ideas and creativity with Madrid knocking the ball around them with effortless ease.

Now, the onus is on the club to invest the €222m they acquired from Paris Saint-Germain in order to try and climb back up the ladder to match Zinedine Zidane's sensational squad of talent.

Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele are the two most prominent names linked with high-profile moves but it appears the Blaugrana have been offered another star name.

PSG's Julian Draxler - who didn't even make the matchday squad on the weekend against Guingamp - has been offered to the La Liga giants by his agent.

That is according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, who reports that the German international is growing tired of the Ligue 1 side's treatment of him so far this season.

Draxler arrived in January after an indifferent spell with Wolfsburg and went on to cement himself as a key player for the Parisian outfit.

He even starred against Barca in the 4-0 win at the Parc Des Princes, scoring a sensational goal in the process.

However, the arrival of Neymar has seen him fly down Unai Emery's pecking order and now, his agent is keen to find him a new home.

He views Catalonia as the ideal destination and given the massive void in Barca's left-wing at the moment, they should move for Draxler as quick as possible.

The likes of Gerard Deulofeu, Arda Turan and Denis Suarez are simply not up to the required standard and the German would likely come at a fairly reasonable price as PSG look to balance their books.
