Over the past week, fans have been sending their prayers and positive thoughts to Ric Flair after news emerged that he was submitted to the hospital last Saturday due to abdominal problems.

As of yesterday, The Nature Boy is still in critical condition five days after being admitted to an Atlanta-area hospital. He was first reportedly taken to hospital for routine monitoring and there was no reason to panic according to his manager, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment.

However, the situation worsened on Sunday, as they asked fans to send their prayers and positive energy to Flair. He was placed into a medically induced coma on Monday to prepare him for surgery. Zanoni reported that the surgery was a success, but there was still a long road ahead.

Flair's Fiancée, Wendy Barlow, posted a message on her Facebook on Wednesday afternoon, giving an update on the two-time WWE Hall of Famer's status.

She said on Facebook according to TMZ Sports: "Just want to give an update to my friends and family as I have been unable to talk on the phone without crying and just feel shocked over events. I took Ric to the hospital Friday night with severe abdominal pain. From that moment on it all seems like a nightmare ... multiple organ problems."

The one thing Barlow did want to clarify on was the surgery which Flair received this week, and she has denied that it was colon surgery. She also thanked fans for their support and asked them to continue sending their love.

"Not to go into too many details I want everyone to know he still needs prayers as he is still in critical condition. And no he did not have colon surgery... it was another surgery!

Barlow continued: "I have been by his side since Friday and will continue to make sure he is getting the best care possible. Thanks for all of the support and Love."

There haven't been any reports on if he is still in a coma, but fans will be hoping he makes a full recovery as quickly as possible. The Nature Boy last appeared on WWE programming on November 28 last year, as his daughter Charlotte Flair defended the RAW Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. Banks won the match and Ric arrived to celebrate with her.
