In last Sunday's 4-0 victory over West Ham, Lukaku was imperious, scoring two goals on his home debut.

The former Chelsea man could score a ridiculous amount given the chances United's creative forces will give him and he has already impressed the pundits.

One of them is Thierry Henry, with the legendary French striker heaping praise on the killer instinct possessed by the serial goal scorer.

Speaking on Sky Sports before the Red Devils' trip to Swansea, the former Arsenal man said: "During training drills, he’s never smiling. It’s not about smiling, it’s about killing."

Very high praise indeed, with Henry previously working with Lukaku for the Belgian national team, hence why he knows about his attitude in training. Mourinho recently explained why he think the bullish striker is so good for the club.

“I feel that connection (with Rashford) but I feel that connection with more players,” said the United manager, per M.E.N.

“I feel (Anthony) Martial-Romelu is a good connection. I feel (Jesse) Lingard is a good connection, I feel (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan is a good connection.

“I think Romelu is a good player to play with. Okay, a striker lives on numbers, and it was because of Romelu’s numbers (goals) that we paid so much to have him.

“But a striker is not just numbers. It is the way he plays, the solutions he gives, the way he makes others play. I think he’s a good player to play with.

“People like Marcus, Martial, Mkhitaryan to have that target man to play with is very good.”
