Enzo Amore probably isn’t enjoying life too much in the WWE right now, as his situation backstage has been well-documented online over the past few months.

There have been several stories circulating on why Enzo has heat on him from writers, management and wrestlers - with one instance claiming that he was thrown off the tour bus by Roman Reigns and forced to travel alone.

HEAT ON ENZO

Perhaps this is the reason why WWE terminated his partnership with Big Cass, as it’s also clear that the two failed to replicate the immense popularity they achieved on NXT when they didn’t even need championship titles to go over.

On the main roster, though, the crowd is a little more unforgiving and Enzo’s act grew very old, very quickly.

Instead, Big Cass defeated Enzo not too long ago and the Certified G has now aligned himself with The Big Show, who takes on Cass at the SummerSlam pay-per-view on Sunday night in Brooklyn, New York.

The interesting stipulation about this match includes Enzo being suspended high above the ring where he’ll be locked inside of a shark cage, so he won’t be getting involved.

While there have been rumours that an Enzo heel turn could be on the horizon, Billi Bhatti of The Dirty Sheets Podcast has revealed why WWE has decided to put Enzo inside of the shark cage – and it’s a very silly reason.

PUNISHMENT

Posting the news over on Sportskeeda, Billi has revealed that WWE is having Enzo in the shark cage and suspended above the ring because he’s intensely afraid of heights.

He added that this is one of WWE’s ways of punishing Enzo for his discretions, and that the company is keen on making an example out of him.

Despite his current situation, Billi has noted that WWE has absolutely no plans on firing him as he is one of the company’s top merchandise sellers, and supposedly shifts more merchandise than some of the biggest names in the company.

There has been talk of taking Enzo off Monday Night RAW and sending him to 205 Live, or even back down to NXT to help boost the live attendance figures.

While WWE is right to punish Enzo if they feel that it's appropriate action to take, this does seem to be a step too far when they know that this a genuine fear Enzo has.

So, if you see Enzo looking frightened inside of the Barclay’s Center, it’s probably not acting on his part.
