Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies felt the second half had proved to be the difference at the City Ground as Doncaster were swept aside 4-1.
Forest have climbed to fourth place in the Championship on the back of a 10-match unbeaten run and Davies is delighted with his side's efforts.
He said: "I thought as a team in the second half we really showed our true fitness levels because our attitude to press and pick them off and get at them was very very good."
