The Man United fan wrote: “Day 77: Hello @AnthonyMartial. I might stop, I dont think Anthony will reply.”

Martial finally responded

Well, AJ will be glad he kept going for Martial finally responded on Saturday evening.

“Day 78: Hello @AnthonyMartial,” AJ wrote on Saturday. “Great goal today.”

The fan's reaction was superb

Cue an incredible reaction from AJ on Twitter.

A nice story, that. There’s a lesson about resilience in there somewhere.

Mourinho thanked his players

Mourinho was glowing after his side continued their impressive start to the season, thanking his players for their “fantastic attitude”.

"I think the team is confident and in both matches winning 1-0 at half-time, we didn't start the second half looking like we had to keep a clean sheet to win the match,” he said, per United’s website.

“The players that came on from the bench did well. Easy for me to make decisions, easy for me to make changes.

"The players make the manager look better and I thank their fantastic attitude, even the ones that weren't selected because we know we have to have a squad to do something special this season."
