LeBron James will become a free agent in 2018 and his future with the Cleveland Cavaliers appears to be in serious doubt. With a year still to go before he makes his decision, the rumours about whether he will remain with his hometown franchise are constantly doing the rounds already. It's an all too familiar feeling for the Cavs after they witnessed their star depart for the Miami Heat in 2010. Just like seven years ago, LeBron's plans will remain unknown until next summer but there are already some interesting reports being released. Veteran NBA reporter Chris Sheridan took to social media recently to state that LBJ was "100 percent leaving Cleveland" and cited that his relationship with owner Dan Gilbert was "beyond repair".

This was quickly denied by members of James' camp, via Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon and Fox Sports' Chris Broussard.

But Wine and Gold fans are not prepared to let the four-time MVP leave so easily again and are willing to go to extreme lengths to try and convince him to stay in Ohio.

A store in his native Akron has begun selling specially designed t-shirts and hats with the words "Stay Home" accompanied by his number 23.

You can't blame fans for wanting to do their part to help their team, but it'll take more than apparel to make up the King's mind.

After fulfilling his promise to bring a championship to 'The Land' when he returned in 2014, King James has the freedom to choose what he wants to do in next year's free agency.

But after guiding the team to three straight finals, Cleveland would hate to lose the league's best player and return to being a lottery team.

The truth is, the four-time MVP gives them their only realistic hope of competing for championships and it'll be a struggle to even make the playoffs without him.

At the age of 32, however, LeBron will carefully assess his best options of challenging for a title as he approaches the final period of his career.

Judging by the superstar's social media accounts this summer, it doesn't seem like free agency is something that he's focusing on too much.

Since losing in the Finals to the Golden State Warriors in June, the three-time champion has been spending much of his time in the gym preparing for the next campaign.

He's even taken to Twitter on multiple occasions to stress how much he misses basketball and was involved in a star-studded pickup game in New York last week with Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony.

One thing we know about James is that he's predictable and will not give anything away, so trying to guess what he's going to do will be a waste of time.
