WWE crowned a new NXT Champion at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III last night, as Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Roode in the main event of the show, but it was what happened after the match had finished which caught everybody's eye.Despite many people knew that he was coming (it was a case of when not if), the crowd in attendance at the Barclays Center delivered a huge pop when Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Bobby Fish appeared to attack the new NXT Champion.O'Reilly and Fish appeared on the ring apron to attract the attention of The Chosen One as Cole came from behind for the sneak attack, cutting McIntyre's championship celebration short with a superkick.

O'Reilly and Fish may have made their presence known earlier in the night after they attacked the newly crowned NXT Tag Team Champions SAnitY after their match, and therefore hinting that Cole was coming along too.
However, this didn't stop the crowd going absolutely mental for the former ROH World Champion when he finally arrived.
Better yet, after the show went off the air, Cole made sure the fans got their money's worth before leaving the arena for backstage, as when he stood in between O'Reilly and Fish at the top of the ramp, he delivered his iconic 'ADAM COLE BAYBAY!'
With a rumored Superstar Shake-Up in the works for some time after SummerSlam, the NXT roster could be changing a lot soon, so the arrival of the former ROH stars in the developmental division of the WWE adds fresh storylines for fans to enjoy while other superstars are called up to the main roster shows.
With Cole now in NXT and set to become McIntyre's first feud as NXT Champion, this opens the door for Roode to make a move to either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown Live if WWE decides to send him up to the main roster, which is more than likely as he is definitely ready for the opportunity.
NXT's tapings next week at Full Sail University should be very interesting, especially with the addition of Cole, and it should provide us with an indication as well if this was the last time The Glorious One makes an appearance inside an NXT ring.
