Austin set to miss Stanley clash

Burton are likely to be without defender Ryan Austin when Accrington visit the Pirelli Stadium.

The right-back's ever-present record this season came to an end after just 14 minutes of Saturday's FA Cup second-round defeat at Gillingham when he was stretchered off with a knee injury.

Albion are waiting for the swelling to settle down before assessing the damage but Austin will face a lengthy lay-off if the scans confirm the suspected ligament damage.

Artur Krysiak remains a doubt with the hip injury that saw him miss out against the Gills, so on-loan keeper Shane Redmond could keep his place in goal.

Redmond's appearance at the Priestfield Stadium was his first since his baptism of fire on the opening day of the season in the 3-1 defeat at Shrewsbury, where he was culpable for two of Town's goals, but the Nottingham Forest youngster looked solid on Saturday.

Striker Steve Kabba is in line for his home debut after making his first appearance for the club at Gillingham following his loan arrival from Brentford.

Accrington will be without the suspended duo of John Miles and Bobby Grant.

Midfielder Miles was sent off for serious foul play in the FA Cup draw against Barnet and will now serve a three-match suspension.

Grant, meanwhile, will be unavailable for one game after picking up five yellow cards so far this season, so Billy Kee is likely to partner Michael Symes in attack.

Goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin was forced off injured against the Bees and is likely to be replaced by on-loan Liverpool stopper Dean Bouzanis.

Johnny Flynn could make his debut for the club. The defender arrived on loan from Blackburn last week but was cup-tied for Saturday's game.

Chris Turner faces another three to four weeks on the sidelines with ankle ligament trouble, while Leam Richardson (groin) is not expected to return until after Christmas.
