After what was a very average show, WWE SummerSlam was saved from being completely mediocre last night thanks to an epic performance by Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns in the main event of the pay-per-view.

After booking 13 matches in total on the card, only a handful of them turned out to be decent matches in what was an overwhelming disappointing show that is supposed to be WWE's biggest party of the summer. One of those matches that didn't disappoint, however, was the main event.

Lesnar, Strowman, Joe, and Reigns all competed in the main event of SummerSlam, which was a Fatal 4-Way for the Universal Championship, and all four of them put on performances to make it an instant classic, with the biggest shining star being The Monster Among Men.

Following his stint at the start of the show where he told Paul Heyman he talks too much, Strowman entered this match with one mission - To win the Universal Championship by any means necessary.

That would mean having to go through the current champion Lesnar, and boy did he try to destroy The Beast Incarnate. It really showed how far he has come in a year and arguably, he should have come out of this match as champion.

The Monster Among Men showed his brute force like no other WWE superstar has done before him and completely manhandled Lesnar. He did this by performing a running powerslam with the Universal Champion through one of the announce tables. He then cleared another table and did it a second time.

The crowd were absolutely loving it and were chanting 'one more table', begging Strowman to put The Beast through the final table that was at ringside. Instead, he went one better, and he flipped the final table at ringside over the top of Lesnar. Medical personnel then made their way down to the ringside area to stretcher Lesnar out of the arena.

Strowman then continued to dominate over the Reigns and Joe before Lesnar made his surprise return to the match to clear house.

The match finally ended after Reigns hit Lesnar with the Superman Punch three times and then looked to set him up for a spear, but as he charged, Brock hit him with the F5 and pinned him clean to get the win.

The Beast may have the Universal Championship, but the true winner of this match has to be Strowman after the performance he put on. He's well on his way to becoming one of the biggest babyfaces in the company after the way the crowd reacted to him last night and this very well could be what grants him a run with the title in the not-so distant future.
