Paris Saint-Germain smashed the world transfer record on Neymar earlier this summer because they knew the Brazilian forward was a genius, capable of inspiring them to glory in the Champions League over the next few seasons.Barcelona knew it, too, hence why they signed him in the first place and why they were so desperate to keep him at the Camp Nou.Although they received an eye-watering £200 million for the 25-year-old, the Catalan giants knew they wouldn’t be able to replace him with a forward of the same quality. Neymar is one of the world’s elite players, on the world-class tier just below Cristiano Ronaldo and his former teammate Lionel Messi.Neymar has moved to Paris for a new challenge, more money, the chance to make history at the Parc des Princes, and to cement his status as the world’s best player. He will only repay that monstrous transfer fee once PSG are crowned European champions, but the South American couldn’t have enjoyed a much better start to his spell with the French outfit. In his first two matches for the Parisians, Neymar has scored three goals, provided three assists, had 12 shots at goal, created 14 chances and completed 24 take-ons.

He is, as was expected, taking Ligue 1 by storm.

Neymar was exceptional against Toulouse

Against Toulouse on Sunday, Neymar looked a class above every other player on the pitch.

He scored two goals - one which, by the way, was absolutely superb - provided two assists and even pulled off a rainbow flick in PSG’s emphatic 6-2 win.

Clips of his second goal and the rainbow flick have gone viral on social media, but his second assist of the match was equally as impressive.

He drilled in a bullet corner with the outside of his right boot and Layvin Kurzawa converted with a magnificent acrobatic effort.
