While fellow Shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins seem to be getting along nicely, Roman Reigns has notably been left out of the mix.

The Shield made their main roster debut in November of 2012 at the Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) where they assisted CM Punk in defending his WWE Championship by attacking his opponents, Ryback and John Cena. They went on a nice undefeated streak in Six Man Tag Team action. At one point all three men held WWE titles as Reigns and Rollins held the WWE Tag Team Titles and Ambrose reigned as the United States Championship. They all eventually dropped all their titles and began a feud with The Authority. After defeating the reunited Evolution at Payback, Seth Rollins betrayed his Shield brethren on Monday Night RAW and joined The Authority.

Since their split, all three men have had fairly successful singles careers as they have each held the World Title at least once. After a few years apart, Rollins and Ambrose have recently reunited on Monday Night RAW to team up against the team of Sheamus and Cesaro, who previously held the RAW Tag Team Titles.

During last night's (Sun. August 20, 2017) SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV), Rollins and Ambrose defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to win the titles and walk out of Brooklyn as champions of The Shield once again.

Notably missing from the reunion was Roman Reigns, who is currently busy chasing after the WWE Universal Championship. Ambrose recently made an appearance at the WWE 2K18 game launch in New York last week and did a number of interviews.

He was interviewed by Youtuber ‘OnAirMyles’ to discuss his reunion with Seth Rollins and a possible Shield reunion.

Ambrose was asked what the status of his friendship with Roman Reigns is, and "The Lunatic Fringe" revealed that he and Reigns aren't on speaking terms as of late due to a recent mishap at a Popeyes drive-thru (quotes via IWNerd):

“I’m not speaking to Roman right now. I haven’t spoken to him in about three weeks. It all started in Huntington, WV. We stop at a Popeye’s drive thru before the show and there’s a whole thing with an alleged biscuit that didn’t make into a box or whatever but basically, he stole my apple pie.

"I’m not speaking to him. I told him to pull over right now and so don’t have any illusions of a Shield reunion anytime soon.”
