Rarely a week goes by without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suggesting he'd like to leave Borussia Dortmund.

The Gabon international has enjoyed huge success in the Bundesliga, scoring goals 31 last season on his way to the Golden Boot.

Yet, it's no secret that he would like to play elsewhere.

AC Milan have been touted as his most likely destination because they have spent so much of the summer hunting for a new striker.

The 28-year-old has previously professed his desire to join Real Madrid, while in the Premier League, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all monitored his situation.

Speaking to an Italian station, Radio Montecarlo Italy, Aubameyang has once again confirmed that he isn't planning to stay in Dortmund long-term.

That's despite BVB announcing earlier this summer that he would definitely not be moving on.

“I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not," he said.

“This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.

“This is the question I keep on asking myself — and I don’t have an answer. I need time to think about it. If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer. I am 27 and I need to grow.

“If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly.”

Is anyone interested?

Usually, when the striker makes comments like these, it threatens to send Europe's top clubs into a frenzy.

However, as the Sun are keen to point out, none of his apparent suitors responded when Dortmund set a deadline for offers last month.

Chelsea have replaced Diego Costa with Alvaro Morata and likewise, Milan are close to bringing in Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina to play alongside fellow new addition Andre Silva.

And the older the forward gets, the less attractive he will be to Real Madrid. Florentino Perez is only willing to sanction big money moves for players who can contribute to Los Blancos' future, hence why he was willing to pay over £100million for 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe.

It's likely that all Aubameyang has done with this interview is alienate his current club. If he is intent on quitting the Westfalenstadion, China is always an option, but not if he wants to continue his development and prove himself in a well-respected league.

Which club would Aubameyang be the best fit at? Have your say in the comments.
