Lincoln stumbled to a 2-1 Coca-Cola League Two defeat at home to Port Vale as Chris Sutton's men extended their run without a league win to seven games.

Vale went ahead through Marc Richards before Lincoln levelled thanks to a howler from Vale keeper Chris Martin who fumbled a long throw from Eric Lichaj into his own net.

Vale got the winner in the 59th minute when Louis Dodds fired home.

Hereford recovered from conceding a goal inside the opening 30 seconds to record their first away win of the season - a 3-1 thumping of Northampton at Sixfields.

Goals by Darren Jones, Mathieu Manset and Craig King turned around the early lead given to the Cobblers by Ryan Gilligan.

Phil Jevons took his tally for the season to 11 with two goals as Morecambe made it five wins in a row with a 3-0 victory over Bury.

Jevons opened the scoring from the penalty spot before turning provider with a cross that was turned into his own net by Bury defender Ben Futcher. Jevons sealed his brace 10 minutes from time when he poked home Michael Twiss' cross.

Accrington became the first side since mid-September to beat Burton at the Pirelli Stadium as Billy Kee and Michael Symes scored in a 2-0 success.

Jake Thomson celebrated his loan extension with his first goal for Torquay as the club moved above Cheltenham with a 3-0 victory at Plainmoor.

Winger Thomson, who had already set up forwards Chris Zebroski and Scott Rendell for first-half goals, teased the Town defence before sliding the ball home to help secure the Gulls' third victory over the Robins this season.
