After weeks of trash-talking, training and mind games, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will finally meet inside the ring on Saturday night. The biggest fight in boxing history has drawn plenty of criticism but there’s no question that the bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will break all sorts of records.Mayweather has come out retirement to take on the UFC star and it’s not hard to see why considering he’s set to make more than £100 million on Saturday night. And many believe it will be Mayweather’s easiest night of work, with McGregor never having competed in a professional boxing bout before.“Champion Predictions: I’m gonna make a $h*t t$n of money on August 26th,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram last month. The American is clearly confident of defeating McGregor, so much so that he’s adopted a diet that seemingly contrasts everything it means to be a professional athlete.

Video of Mayweather mocking McGregor

A video of Mayweather mocking his opponent while eating a burger from Burger King was shown on UFC Embedded.

Just days before the fight, that’s perhaps the last thing you’d expect the 49-0 star to be consuming. But who are we to argue with his diet?

“I have to eat Burger King to keep that weight on,” Mayweather says to the camera.

He continues in a sarcastic tone: “I'm so scared of Conor McGregor, I'm so scared of Conor McGregor,” while holding his arms aloft.

“I just want to say this, thank you [UFC president] Dana White for bringing that b**** to the table.”

To be fair to Mayweather, eating a burger is an easy way to ensure he’s at an appropriate weight when he goes up against McGregor.

The cross-bout contest will be fought at light middleweight, meaning both must meet the 154lbs weight restriction.

McGregor predicts second round win

It was confirmed last week that Mayweather and McGregor will be allowed to wear 8oz gloves instead of 10oz gloves that are usually mandatory for 154lbs matches, something the Irishman believes will cause a swift knockout.

"Now the gloves are 8oz, I don't believe he makes it out of the second round," McGregor said, per Sky Sports.

“Part of me is hoping that he can last - part of me wants to show some skill and dismantle him. But I don't see him absorbing the blows in the first two rounds."
