The majority of people in the United States yesterday went crazy over the phenomenon that is the solar eclipse as it doesn't occur that often across the mainland of the country. The rare occurrence became the big talking point for the day for most people across the country, and NBA teams were no exception to it, but they couldn't help but put their own spin on the natural wonder in order to get some laughs. Most teams, including the Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks, and Brooklyn Nets, went down the path of mocking the Phoenix Suns on the day, saying how their teams have blocked the Suns from scoring in the past, just like how the Moon blocked the Sun's light during the eclipse. Both the Timberwolves and the Bucks tweeted videos of their star players - Karl-Anthony Towns and Giannis Antetokounmpo respectively - blocking Phoenix players from scoring, and the Nets did something similar as well.

The Hawks arguably had the best burn on the Suns during the solar eclipse day, as they posted not just one clip, but a full highlight reel of their players blocking Phoenix players from different games over the past few years.

Needless to say, the Suns weren't happy about this ribbing at all, and they took to Twitter to deliver their own blocking on the teams that had made fun of them, by blocking them on Twitter itself.

This was all in the spirit of the day though, as no actual grudges were held. Minnesota even replied back to the Suns 'blocking' them on Twitter, and the Memphis Grizzlies even found the whole thing quite amusing, as did other NBA fans.

NBA teams will now have to wait a couple more years to rib at the Phoenix Suns during a solar eclipse day in the United States, as the next one isn't predicted to happen until 2024, which is plenty of time for them to get more highlights of their respective teams blocking the Suns from scoring!
