The MSN trio were back together on Tuesday with Leo Messi sharing a photo on Instagram  - featuring a hilarious caption - alongside Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr.

The 25-year-old Brazilian superstar joined French club PSG earlier this month in a record breaking €222m transfer.

Neymar left the club against the board's wishes after oil rich PSG triggered his massive release clause (and offered him a substantial pay rise.)

The former Santos wonderkid was back in Barcelona on Tuesday, with the Catalan giants earlier publishing a statement confirming a lawsuit against the skilful forward.

He's involved in a messy break-up with the Barcelona board but still remains close ties with many of his former teammates.

Neymar spent four years at the Camp Nou, with three of those years being spent terrorising defences alongside Suarez and Messi.

The lethal MSN trio have scored a jaw-dropping 363 goals between them since the start of the 2014/15 season.

Many have mocked Barca defender Gerard Pique over his famous "He stays" tweet, which went viral as fans wondered whether Neymar would stay or go.

It certainly came back to haunt him when PSG landed their man - and it appears his Barcelona teammates haven't forgotten about Pique's tweet either.

Messi shared a photo of the MSN trio reunited on Instagram and delivered a perfect caption to troll the 30-year-old Spanish international.

He simply captioned the photograph "Volvió" and tagged Pique. - It translates as "He came back".

The Argentine five time Ballon d'Or winner effectively confirmed Neymar's departure when he posted a touching farewell on Instagram.

"It was an enormous pleasure to have shared all these years with you friend Neymar," Messi wrote, alongside a video montage of the pair's highlights as team-mates and friends.

"I wish you luck in this new stage of your life. I love you."

Neymar posted a lengthy farewell which touched hearts of Barcelona fans all over the world.

"I arrived in Catalonia at 21, full of challenges," he said. "I remember my first days in the Club, sharing the costumes with idols like (Lionel) Messi, (Victor) Valdes, Xavi, (Andres) Iniesta, (Carles) Puyol, (Gerard) Pique, (Sergio) Busquets and others with the expectation of playing in a Club that is “more than a club”. FC Barcelona is a nation that represents Catalonia!

"I had the honour of acting with the greatest athlete I’ve ever seen in my life and I’m sure I will not see another better, Messi became my partner, friend on and off the pitch. Proud to play with you.

"I formed an attack with @leomessi and @ luissuarez9 (sic) that is left for the story. I have conquered everything an athlete can conquer. I have lived unforgettable moments! I lived in a city that is more than a city, it is a homeland. I love Barcelona and Catalunya."
