No loan move for Tractor Boys

Published Add your comment

The Football League have confirmed Ipswich will not be granted special dispensation to bring in a goalkeeper on an emergency loan deal.

The Blues had enquired about the possibility of signing someone before January following the news that goalkeeper Richard Wright will be sidelined for up to four months with a knee injury.

However, Ipswich were informed that they did not fit the criteria as they already have two fully fit goalkeepers on their books in Arran Lee-Barrett and 18-year-old Ian McLoughlin, who has yet to play a senior game.
