So, Liverpool have secured passage to the group stages of the Champions League after defeating Bundesliga side Hoffenheim over two legs.

In truth, the German outfit were outclassed for most of the 180 minutes, particularly at Anfield where a blitz lead by Sadio Mane saw Julian Nagelsmann's side 3-0 down after just 20 minutes.

They did manage to pull one back before half time to cast a small bit of doubt over the destination of the match but after the break, Jurgen Klopp's side came out all guns blazing.

They dominated the Bundesliga team, passing around them and constantly looking like a goal threat, with Mane and Mohamed Salah tearing them apart out wide.

But, the flying wingers were upstaged by their forward partner, Roberto Firmino, who's link-up play, passing and delicious first touch suppressed his former side throughout the match.

Half way through the second period, the Brazilian international finally got his goal after Jordan Henderson teed him up after sloppy defensive play from Hoffenheim.

But, what followed was something of true horror as Firmino treated fans to yet another god awful celebration routine. This one is the worst of the lot.

FIRMINO'S MOMENT OF SHAME

The Brazilian striker loosens his shorts, pulls them down - fortunately not to far - and them imitates firing guns, a passage of movements which many will hope are never repeated again.

Twitter users quickly rubbed their eyes and got typing to voice their opinion on the bizarre celebration.

TWITTER REACTS

Well, at least he made a few people laugh. Somehow, you can't see the celebration making it's way onto Fifa 18, however, if by some miracle it does, be prepared to rage quit a lot.

Liverpool will find out their group stage opponents on Thursday in Monaco and after the recent debacle surrounding Philippe Coutinho, they will probably draw Barcelona.
