Current UFC stars, and rivals of Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz and Jose Aldo, have shared their predictions ahead of Saturday's huge fight between undefeated Floyd Mayweather and the Irishman.

Many people in the world of boxing have tipped Mayweather to extend his unbeaten run to 50-0 in what has been a remarkable career.

The bookmakers also make Mayweather a heavy favourite.

Irish bookmakers Paddy Power make him a 1/4 shot, with McGregor out at 7/2.

However, some in the Mixed Martial Arts world believe McGregor can spring an upset, but unanimously agree that he has to try and end the fight early.

The predictions of Diaz and Aldo, both former opponents of McGregor, give the Irishman little chance to do the unthinkable against the undefeated boxing champion in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

They both offer slightly different versions of how the events will unfold, however.

Nate Diaz had two epic encounters with Conor McGregor at UFC 196 and 202 respectively, each taking a victory over the other.

He believes if McGregor has any chance, he has to make something happen in the first two or three rounds.

However, he goes on to say that McGregor has an amateur style that is too amateur for Mayweather.

"I think McGregor has got a good chance of making something happen in the first two or three rounds, but he's got an amateur style and I think is too amateur for Mayweather."

Verdict - Mayweather win

Another of McGregor's UFC opponents Jose Aldo gives McGregor no chance at all against Mayweather.

Aldo, who was sensationally knocked out in 13 seconds by McGregor at UFC 194, claims there is no way McGregor can pull off an upset because Mayweather has done this his entire life and this is a different sport.

"There is no way McGregor can defeat Mayweather. Mayweather has done this his entire life and it's a different sport."

Verdict - Mayweather win

Thousands of people will flock to Las Vegas to witness the biggest fight in recent memory, combining the best of what boxing and Ultimate Fighting Championship has to offer.

UFC fans will be hoping for the biggest of upsets, while the smart money will be on Mayweather extending his unbeaten run to 50-0.
