The Champions League group stage draw took place in Monaco this afternoon and there are some tasty ties to look forward to over the forthcoming months.European champions Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham in Group H, Chelsea face Atletico Madrid and AS Roma in Group C, while Bayern Munich and Neymar’s Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head in Group B.However, arguably the biggest tie of the group stages takes place in Group D. In a repeat of the 2015 Champions League final, Barcelona and Juventus will play each other twice before the end of December.Juve’s legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has learnt to be careful what he wishes for.Ahead of the draw, the 39-year-old named the Camp Nou as one of the stadiums he wants to ‘test’ himself in once more before retirement.

Buffon: I want to play at the Camp Nou again

“Playing in the Champions League allows you to experience some of the most exciting stadiums in Europe and when you are younger you take that for granted as there are many more opportunities ahead of you, but as you get older you realise there are things you perhaps won’t experience again,” he told reporters.

“I want to test myself at the Bernabeu and Camp Nou again, I want to play in another special evening game at Old Trafford. I want to experience the electric atmosphere of Celtic Park once more.”

Totti made Buffon' wish come true

Well, Gigi, your wish had come true. Thanks to your old Italy teammate Francesco Totti.

Totti conducted the Champions League group stage draw and pulled out Barcelona’s ball, placing them in Group D with Juventus.

The Roma legend couldn’t help but look towards Buffon while reading out Barcelona’s name.

And he couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
