Charlton's promotion push remained firmly on track as they eased to a 1-0 win over Southend which moves the Addicks to within four points of the Coca-Cola League One summit.

Andrew Crofts headed a stoppage-time winner as Brighton eased their relegation fears with a 1-0 win at Exeter. Gillingham and Carlisle played out a goalless draw at the Priestfield Stadium.
