Ever since the brand split came into full effect last year, the WWE have done a fantastic job of keeping the two rosters separated.Obviously, there have been a handful of cases where we’ve seen both SmackDown LIVE and Monday Night RAW work together, such as Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam feud with Randy Orton along with three brilliant Survivor Series matches.

BRAND SPLIT

However, it looks like we could be heading towards a second major interbrand storyline since The Beast Incarnate slayed The Viper in 2016, and it could focus on the tag team division with WWE already planting numerous seeds online.

As we know, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose reunited at SummerSlam this year to dethrone Sheamus and Cesaro to become the new RAW tag team champions.

WWE posed the question and a poll on Twitter – which tag team could take the gold away from them?

Step forward The Usos.

THE USOS

Jimmy and Jey have reinvented themselves on the blue brand and recently dethroned the New Day to become the SmackDown LIVE tag team champions, as they took to Twitter to claim that they’ll take the titles off The Lunatic Fringe and The Kingslayer as well.

They posted: “WILL TAKE THOSE TITLES TOO.”

Simple, and straight to the point.

As expected, Rollins responded to the challenge in perfect fashion, tweeting: “Any time ish.”

Obviously, back and forth verbal battles on social media doesn’t always mean that something will occur on WWE programming, but they both took it a step further by calling each other out at house shows, and it was The Usos who kicked it all off.

They said: “Seth, Dean, you might be the best tag team champions on RAW, but we the best tag team, period.

“You know where to find us. SmackDown. It’s not paranoia, it’s The Usos.”

Rollins took it upon himself to issue a response on a RAW house show, claiming: “Usos, you know who the real champs are, and we’re on RAW baby!”

It’s certainly a unique way to create a storyline, but it’s something WWE fans have welcomed on social media with WWE dropping some major hints.

It’s unclear when it could take place – if it ever does – but you can be sure that both RAW and SmackDown would be in for a treat if the teams start appearing on the rival brand to take this up a notch.
