Despite being in the offseason, many NBA players still have the urge to play basketball during the summer months.

LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony played in a star-studded pickup game recently and many other players have taken to the court in some form.

New Houston Rockets teammates James Harden and Chris Paul played together during a special charity match earlier this month and put on a show.

The NBA offseason is long, so these players can't really be blamed for wanting to get back to doing what they love and working on their game.

The most recent players to have blessed the hardwood were Rajon Rondo and Eric Bledsoe and they produced arguably the best play you're likely to see all summer.

The point guard duo were taking part in Kentucky’s Alumni Game on Friday and Rondo left fans stunned with an audacious assist to Bledsoe.

We remember the famous elbow passes from former Sacramento Kings star Jason Williams but Rondo may have upped the stakes in the creativity department.

The All-Star served up an alley-oop to Bledsoe by bouncing the ball off his head as if he was playing football.

It was a jaw-dropping moment of brilliance from the playmaker that has rarely been seen before, if ever.

The assist has been doing the rounds on social media all weekend and deserves to be viewed on a loop.

The 31-year-old will be representing his third team in three years next season after signing a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The former Celtics man was with the Chicago Bulls last year but things didn't work out for him in the Windy City, just like they didn't in Dallas and Sacramento.

However, in New Orleans, he'll be linking up with DeMarcus Cousins once again and it could bring the best out of him as he struck up a good relationship on the floor with the big man in Sac-Town.

The veteran led the league in assists in his only campaign in California and Boogie was the recipient of many of those.

Playing alongside Anthony Davis will also benefit Rondo and vice versa as he's still one of the most gifted passers in the league.

His ability to run an offence and get the ball to players in their favourite spots is second to none and he displayed this for the Bulls in their first-round playoff series against Boston until a wrist injury ended his season.

The Pelicans will be hoping he can perform at a high level on a consistent basis next year and help them mount a playoff push.
