When the 2017-18 NBA season comes to an end, all eyes will turn to Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, who will have an interesting decision to make.

Much like in years past, LeBron will face a choice between staying in Cleveland or pursuing options elsewhere. However, unlike in previous years, there will be some doubt as to whether the Cavs can re-sign their star forward.

Nearly everyone has weighed in on whether they think LeBron will stay with the Cavaliers or move to a different team, and now The Ringer's Bill Simmons and Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant have made their predictions.

In a recent episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast (transcribed by Uproxx.com), Durant bets Simmons a Fat Sal's combo meal that LeBron will end his playing career in Cleveland and not with the Los Angeles Lakers:

Durant: I personally always said he was staying. I told him this. That’s me. I feel like he’s going to end it in Cleveland. That’s his crib now. He run it and he gonna turn it into something mega when he’s done. He’s going to do something.

Simmons: What do you want to bet on this? I’m saying L.A.

Durant: I’ll bet Fat Sal’s.

Simmons: I’m in. I’m betting L.A.

Durant: You’re staying on L.A.? Fat Sal’s combo meal. He’s staying in Cleveland. I’ve got him staying in Cleveland.

Simmons: I think the Lakers thing makes a lot of sense.

Obviously, no one will know what LeBron plans to do until the end of this coming season, but there has been a lot of noise around him joining the Lakers, and the star forward hasn't come out publicly to deny those claims.

With an uncertain future in Cleveland, especially now that star point guard Kyrie Irving has demanded to be traded, the coming offseason would be the ideal time for LeBron to make a move if that's what he wants to do.

Rumors about his disdain for owner Dan Gilbert (dating back to "The Decision," when James left Cleveland for the Miami Heat) have intensified in recent months as another reason he could be on his way out of Cleveland once again.

With or without Irving, the Cavaliers figure to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this season, thanks in large part to LeBron. However, Cleveland's front office will do everything it can this year to put a talented roster around its superstar to convince him to stay.

If he does decide to stay in Cleveland beyond this year, Simmons will owe Durant a combo meal.
