Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander fears Hamza Bencherif's season could be over ahead of the home clash with Hereford.
The Algerian midfielder suffered a fractured ankle in last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Rochdale and Alexander has admitted he is unlikely to feature again before the end of the campaign.
Striker Ricky Sappleton lasted just 15 minutes at Rochdale after taking a knock to his knee and also sustaining a dead leg.
However, he should be passed fit to feature while left-back Carl Tremarco, who was knocked out cold for a short time after a blow to the head at Spotland, has also been given the green light to play.
Defender Ross Draper is aiming to shake off a groin strain but midfielder Lee Bell (knee) is a long-term absentee and defender Shaun Brisley serves a one-match ban after he was sent off against Rochdale.
Ryan Green is the only injury doubt for Hereford as they looking to get back to winning ways.
The defender has been struggling with a series of dead leg problems of late and was substituted at half-time in last weekend's 2-0 home defeat to Notts County nursing a thigh injury.
Manager John Trewick may opt to leave Green out of the trip to the Moss Rose to help him recover and get back to full fitness ahead of the full festive programme.
On a brighter note, long-term absentee Craig Jones has returned to the frame after his lengthy absence with a back injury and made his return for a Bulls second-string side on Wednesday. However, this weekend's clash will come too soon for the midfielder to compete for a first-team place.
Despite last weekend's defeat to County, Hereford - who have been in solid form of late - will go into the clash in confident mood having recorded their first away win of the season when last on their travels at Sixfields.
