Chesterfield boss John Sheridan has injury concerns over strikers Drew Talbot and Davide Somma ahead of the visit of Cheltenham.

Talbot is struggling with illness and Somma has a hamstring problem so fellow forward Scott Boden could be handed a start.

Central-defender Aaron Downes will be included in the squad but may again have to settle for a place on the bench as he has not long recovered from rupturing his cruciate ligament.

Rob Page and Ian Breckin are set to continue at the heart of the Spireites' defence.

Sheridan will be keen to see his side arrest a slump in form that has left them without a win from their previous three league games.

Joss Labadie returns from suspension for Cheltenham.

The on-loan midfielder missed last weekend's 2-2 draw against Northampton having picked up five bookings this season, but he is available for the trip to Derbyshire and should be in contention for a starting berth.

Defenders Lee Ridley and Michael Townsend have returned to training after calf injuries and have a slim chance of being involved at the weekend, with late fitness tests likely for both.

Loanees David Pipe and Ashley Eastham are certain to continue having made their debuts against the Cobblers, while the versatile Andy Gallinagh is set to make his 100th appearance for the Robins at Saltergate.

Captain Shane Duff (Achilles) is not yet doing any ball work but continues to work on his fitness in the gym ahead of his planned return in the new year.
