Burnley captain Steven Caldwell is available to face Fulham at Turf Moor after sitting out the defeat by Portsmouth through suspension.
On-loan striker David Nugent also comes into contention after he missed the match against his parent club under Premier League rules.
However Martin Paterson, Chris McCann and Jay Rodriguez remain sidelined through injury.
Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott believes Turf Moor has become a "bear pit" for visiting sides.
Fulham are the next team to visit and the 30-year-old is looking forward to some more home comforts.
Sixteen of Burnley's 17 points in the Barclays Premier League have come on their own intimidating patch.
Elliott said: "It is a cold, noisy ground and a bit of a bear pit at times. The crowd are brilliant and get right behind us.
"The fans realise what a big part they have to play as well. For whatever reason the atmosphere seems to bring the best out of us.
"They also realise we are a group of hardworking, honest lads, who go out every week and give their best.
"We all appreciate being in this league and want to hang around. I do not think any one of us has proved yet we are Premiership players. But we have shown we are capable of competing against the very best.
"Those early victories (against Manchester United and Everton) gave us a belief. If we had gone a long time without a win maybe we'd have started thinking we were out of our depth.
"I don't think anyone comes here unaware anymore. They come expecting a tough game and we have to make sure we don't disappoint them."
Fulham will be without Simon Davies for the trip after his recovery from an ankle injury suffered a setback.
Manager Roy Hodgson revealed the midfielder has undergone a second scan after the club's physios discovered the injury, which he suffered against CSKA Sofia last week, was not healing as well as they had hoped.
Dickson Etuhu should recover from a knee injury in time while Andy Johnson (groin) and Diomansy Kamara (knee) are still out.
