It was very much Spain’s night when they met Italy at the Bernabeu on Saturday. The two nations went into the clash level on points in their bid to qualify for the Russian World Cup next summer. With just three fixtures remaining after this tie, both sides knew it was very much a case of ‘winner takes all,’ with only one qualifying automatically. And it looks as though it will be Spain heading to Russia as group winners after thrashing the Italians 3-0 in Madrid.Julen Lopetegui’s side dominated throughout and the match was over by half-time.Real’s Isco was the star of the show, bagging a first-half brace and proving why everyone is Spain is talking about him right now.Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata added a third after the break but the night belonged to Isco. And one moment in the second-half summed up his performance. With confidence oozing, Isco decided to have some fun whilst surrounded by opponents. And, as Marco Veratti came to close him down, Isco rolled the ball under his foot, nutmegging him in the process.Verratti’s reaction was clear for all to see - he just couldn’t get close to him all night.

While the Spain fans inside the Bernabeu loved Isco’s little skill, everyone on Twitter did as well.

Twitter absolutely loved it

Quite brilliant.

The 25-year-old is really starting to fulfil his potential and can be considered one of the best attacking midfielders in the world right now.

If he can keep up this form ahead of the World Cup, Spain are going to be a force to be reckoned with once again.
