After months of waiting, the new NFL season is finally upon us and it is kicking off in style tonight.

The defending Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots, will host the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough in the first game of the new season, and it's bound to be an entertaining match.

It will be the first time the Patriots take to the field in a competitive situation since their come-from-behind Super Bowl victory against the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year in February. The team will raise the franchise's fifth championship banner prior to tonight's season opener.

New England's main man, Tom Brady, wants to make sure fans know what this season means to them.

Prior to his team's first game of the 2017 season, the quarterback has posted a video on his Instagram account hyping up the occasion, and it's certainly one which New England fans will enjoy.

Most of the video shows highlight packages of the Patriots' Super Bowl triumph against the Falcons from seven months ago when they came back from a 28-3 deficit to win the game 34-28 in overtime at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

It truly is an awesome video to watch if you're a Patriots as it will hype you up for the new season ahead, and other NFL fans should enjoy it as well. Falcons fans probably won't enjoy it as much though.

Brady's message in the hype video is clear. “When you are silent, it speaks.”

There's not much left in the career of Brady that he hasn't accomplished except for one thing, an undefeated season. He came close to doing that ten years ago during the 2007 season, but ultimately finished with an 18-1 record after a Super Bowl defeat to the New York Giants.

Winning a sixth Super Bowl would be fun for Brady, but doing it undefeated would be the ultimate goal for the quarterback, and that should be the aim for himself and the Patriots this season.

If he manages to accomplish that, he can be silent all he wants, as his achievements will speak for themselves.
