Charlton boss Phil Parkinson was disappointed his side failed to secure the three points after the 4-4 draw with Millwall.
Millwall went 2-0 up before Charlton roared back to lead 4-3 with minutes remaining but Parkinson felt his side should have taken all three points.
"When you score four goals at home, you expect to win the game," he said. "Some of the Millwall goals were too easy. Obviously on a positive note going 2-0 down at home in such a big game we responded very, very well to get back to 3-2."
Parkinson added: "My feeling on the touchline when we made it 3-2 was that we then took our foot of the gas and invited Millwall back onto us and it was almost as if we felt we had won the game.
"There are positives to take out of the game in terms of the spirit and some of the attacking play but equally we needed to be tighter."
