Aldershot condemned Barnet to their seventh consecutive away defeat with a comfortable 4-0 win at the Recreation Ground.

After a tight first half the Shots ran away with the game through a John Grant brace, an Andy Sandell free-kick and a Scott Donnelly penalty.

The game opened at a frenetic pace and the officials missed a clear penalty for Aldershot in the 4th minute when Kenney Gillet blatantly handled the ball inside his own area.

Barnet edged a feisty first half but Paul Furlong missed their best chance and they fell behind in the 36th minute.

Marlon Jackson showed Gillet a clean pair of heels down the right and his low cross was bundled in by Grant.

Aldershot completely dominated the second half and Grant doubled his tally in the 59th minute, cutting inside on the left before curling the ball expertly into the bottom-right corner.

That was followed by Sandell's brilliant free-kick from 25 yards and Donnelly capped the win with a 77th minute penalty after Danny Hylton had been fouled.
