Coca-Cola League Two leaders Rochdale twice threw away the lead to draw 2-2 at Crewe.
Goals from Craig Dawson (53) and Kallum Higginbotham (74) were cancelled out by efforts from Ashley Westwood (71) and Matt Tootle (77).
Bournemouth closed the gap on the leaders to five points with a 1-0 success away to Cheltenham, Liam Feeney with the winner in the 57th minute.
Dagenham's automatic promotion hopes suffered a blow as they went down 1-0 at Northampton, for whom substitute Billy McKay scored in the 88th minute and Andy Holt was sent off for foul and abusive language in stoppage time. Mark Arber had blazed an 80th-minute penalty over the bar for the Daggers.
John Grant netted Aldershot's first two goals in a 4-0 thrashing of Barnet. Andy Sandell also scored and a Scott Donnelly penalty completed the scoring.
Struggling Lincoln claimed a much-needed 2-1 victory at home to Chesterfield, for whom Jack Lester missed an 87th-minute penalty.
Goals in the opening half-hour from Cian Hughton and Delroy Facey put Lincoln in command before Scott Boden gave the visitors hope in the 83rd minute.
Phil Edwards scored twice after the break, the second a penalty, to help Accrington record a 2-1 win at Morecambe. Garry Hunter halved the deficit for the Shrimps, who missed the chance to move into the play-off spots.
Dave Hibbert struck a 95th-minute equaliser as Shrewsbury snatched a 2-2 draw from a bizarre home match against Macclesfield. The first half had ended in even more dramatic fashion with three goals in added time, Nathaniel Brown and Colin Daniel twice putting the visitors ahead either side of an equaliser from Waide Fairhurst.
Macclesfield's Carl Tremarco also had a penalty saved by David Button when the score was 0-0. Nicky Wroe converted a 19th-minute penalty to give Torquay a 1-0 win over Hereford.
