Tranmere boss Les Parry has no new injury concerns as his resurgent side prepare to welcome Carlisle to Prenton Park.

Experienced defender Marlon Broomes is available once again after missing the recent 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers through suspension.

Ash Taylor deputised at centre-half in Broomes' absence, but the 20-year-old is likely to move back into midfield against the Cumbrians.

Alan Mahon (ankle) and Bas Savage (Achilles) remain long-term absentees for Rovers, who saw their Boxing Day clash at Oldham postponed due to safety reasons.

Parry's men remain in the League One relegation zone, but they have only lost one of their last seven games and go into Monday's game looking to secure a fourth successive win on home soil.

Carlisle could be boosted by the return of fit-again trio Paul Thirlwell, Joe Anyinsah and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.

Midfielder Thirlwell has been sidelined since late September due to an Achilles injury, striker Anyinsah has missed the last three games with a hip problem and Bridge-Wilkinson (knee) is also fit-again after a month's lay-off.

Manager Greg Abbott is expected to recall goalkeeper Adam Collin and midfielder Graham Kavanagh, both rested for Carlisle's last match, the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Bradford almost two weeks ago.

Stand-in goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley will drop to the bench, while the recent form of midfield trio Peter Murphy and on-loan pair Tom Taiwo (Chelsea) and Adam Clayton (Manchester City) has given Abbott plenty to think about.

The Cumbrians are unbeaten in their last four league matches.
